When should not you overtake?
Never attempt to overtake unless you are completely confident that you have enough time and space to do so safely. Avoid taking any risks that could endanger the safety of other road users.
On the road overtaking is a common maneuver. But sometimes it's better to hold back. An instance of this would be when overtaking would need you to exceed the speed limit. To guarantee everyone’s safety on the road speed limits are in place. And exceeding them is dangerous for everyone. Remember that getting a speeding ticket is not worth the risk. Even more critically trying to pass someone when it is neither safe nor legal to do so puts lives in danger! Therefore abide by the speed limit whenever possible. And give precedence to patience while driving.
